Australian Group One performer Retrieve has won his first race since being transferred to Godolphin’s European operation.
Placed in three Group One races for Darley Australia and Peter Snowden, Retrieve won a 2000m race on the Lingfield all weather track on Saturday.
It was Retrieve’s first start since undergoing a wind operation.
After scoring easily, Retrieve dropped Frankie Dettori who was unharmed but forced to walk back to the enclosure.
Retrieve’s Saeed bin Suroor stablemate Dysphonia finished third at her European debut in the Group Three Fillies’ Stakes (1400m) at the same meeting.
The mare finished third in the Group One Myer Classic last year behind Hurtle Myrtle and Sacred Choice before being drafted into the Godolphin team.
